It may not sound like good news to you, but after last time its bloody great news.

I have a 3.5ton Iveco van, which i use for carrying p.a and lighting around for my band and i got pulled by VOSA on the M1 in June and weighed.

It was just a tonne over weight:shock: Now the last time this happened to me was about 4years ago in a single wheel iveco and i was a tonne and half over and got fined £1100.00:shock:

This time in my twin wheel van i got fined £433.00. So although generally wouldnt be happy about getting fined for something, i am quite happy with the result.

So basically although the iveco is a great vehicle and has a huge cubic load, the payload/weight it can carry is not good.

It seems that VOSA are having a purge on vans at the minute so if you have a van, my advice is to get it weighed.

Most vans on the roads today, not currently run by big business' will be overloaded.

Considering i was told it could be more than a grand, im happy with the outcome.

Obviously i would have been happier without a fine at all, but it was inevitable, so a good result considering.
