Blacked out headlights

Is it legal to black out headlights, and how dark can you go? wanna put limo black tint on them?

    I should imagen it would be illegal as it is to do the rears.

    It would be illegal to put a dark tint on your headlights, and they could glow red/purple if the film is cheap, you also wont be able to see !

    am sure athene posted a thread with do's and dont's on car law cant remember if it mentioned tints though
