Has this downturn in the economy affected you? And if so how?

Our company just payed off 10 men today, one of them was 62 and he has probably forgot more about our trade than I will ever know !

thanksfully busy here as the company I work for fits out the leading uk supermarker chain and they are doing very well at the moment.

As work as a plumber come you name it i do it engineer for a very large housing association, we have been busier than ever, as our company buys of local authorities who havent got much cash or people who are in trouble

Had 4 pay rises this year alone, and getting new van in 3 weeks, trust me not enough hours in the day to complete the work already. Sorry but its true.

Before it all started to go funny, was still rushed off my fett.

On a 30 day risk of redundancy notice the firm has stopped starting new developments and as they used to have up to 10 going at any one time they are now down to two and both of those will be completed around the New Year

 

They have a stock of about fifty to sixty dwellings they cant move

not a lot to the big boys but when the top priced one is at 2.7million

it is serious money
