I have a custom stainless steel decat exhaust system on my twin turbo Z. I have now decided that i want the car to be even louder...

the car has two small silencers just before the tips. Is it ok to remove these?

Will it cause damage to the turbos? A lack in back pressure?

Any more information too would be great, thanks, Dan

My exhaust pretty much is just pipes coming out of the engine, its as loud as hell and pretty much will do your head in if its a daily driver but if its a weekend car then you should be able to bear it....... you just need to tip toe very carefully around the plod

My old car had the cats out and the previous owner had cut out a piece from the back boxes took out whatever was in there I think and welded them back up so it was pretty much just pipes too.

Good for a weekend car and didnt sound too over the top very distinctive note as it had non standard back boxes anyway. Brings a smile to your face anyway. That Probabaly didnt help the tubs though.

as for turbo damage u need not worry ...with turbo cars u really dnt need much in the form of an exhaust as the turbo itself creates the back pressure where as on an n/a the exhaust does this.
