Hi Allan,

If she does put it on a DVD instead of a CD then it won't work in the car anyway. Apart from snazzy DVD player head units, most won't even recognise a DVD.

It's likely to be telling her it needs a DVD and not a CD because there are too many songs to fit on a CD (max 700Mb). Just get her to do it bit by bit to a number of CD's.

Hope this helps mate

she says eve trying to put one song on doesnt wor, will only let her burn to dvd

is she trying to copy to disk from a playlist? I use itunes on a mac and if you select a single song from the library, it attempts to back up the entire library anyway... so would need a dvd (or several!!)

Sorry mate I was talking generically as I don't use iTunes (cos it does silly bloody stuff like this!). What Rich666 says sounds pretty likely though.

Alternatively, if all of the songs are on her PC, you could try using Windows Media Player to burn the disks as it's pretty straightforward.

Aren't iTunes songs downloaded in M4p format? I found I have to burn them onto a disc, then rip them back onto the PC to get them into MP3 format, or is there an easier way?

Just googled MP4 converter and there looks like plenty of software, free ones too ;)
