Hi this is Leslie Colin Dick's wife (Dick300).

He wanted me to let you know he's in hospital at moment. It was touch and go for a while, we were told he wouldn't make it through the night 3 times. that was 4 weeks ago.

He seems to have had a virus that attacked his heart and basically doctors throught there was no hope.

He's still here and doing well - probably the thought of me driving his car was enough to make him get better!!

Doctors are amazed at his progress.

Hi Ed

Colin says that's great. He'd rather have been at Crail than where he is, but he's getting better every day.

He's doing really well. Kidneys now working fine. Heart getting a bit stronger. Still a long way to go. He won't be working on or driving his car for quite a while yet. He can walk short distances with a stick but longer distances he needs a wheelchair. Hopeful that he will get stronger and eventually not need the wheelchair but even if he doesn't the fact he's still alive is enough. He might get home next week, so no doubt he'll be in touch. Thanks to everyone for their messages, I've been passing them on.

Thats really good news that his recovery is progressing, once he is feeling well enough perhaps we can arrange a visit if he is up for it!
