Trax 2002

So what did everybody think.. I was around from early morning up till early afternoon.. with girl though, so she got bored v.quick!

Bought her a mug with her Puma on though! smile.gif

Impressed with the skyline turnout, starting to warm to the Skyline R34, but the price tag is a good put-off! smile.gif

Got a good deal on my EBC pads and discs as well..

Fairly good, lots of nice cars, but also lots of crap.

Good weather most of the time too!! biggrin.gif

Just a shame there weren't more trade stands aimed at the growing Jap car market.

Was surprised spax don't do *anything* for the ZX yet.. got told their P somethingorother sets will be available for the z in a few months...

Same answer from Bailey regarding their dump valves but they've said they'd like to have a go at it...

Spax PSX, think its the adjustable shocks.

Re shiney bits - same story with Spec-R, Forge, Mirage and others, they do bits for Fords, Evo, Scooby, even the 200SX, but nothing for the Z.

definite missing market there I think... Bailey's have just asked if they can have my car for a day if I cough up the money for the parts... hmmmmm

Watching the track sessions was ok but you can't see some of the best areas for high speeds. 0-60 runs was badly organised, too slow and boring after a while watching Corsas, etc. Too few real performance cars there. Far to many crap trade stands with a few really good ones spread about. Enjoyed watching a guy loose his lunch in the bungee ball and glad I wasn't standing in front of the ball. Best bit by far was all of the totty!

Did anyone watch the mobile rolling road? Where is he from? Sids Tuning Shop in Tamworth! Guess who caused my engine to blow up on his rolling road? I watched him running up a old Porsche and then telling the owner "its dropping some oil on the tyres". Again not using fans on hot day and just fresh air to cool the cars at full throttle. Jeez he really seems to enjoy his job of destroying engines!

Gah!!!!

What a tw*t!!!!

Glad I didn't go anywhere near him then!

Enjoyed the day. Got to speak to Harve who seemed to know his stuff but did anyone else get stuck in the 2 hour tailback on the way in on the A43? NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!

Only other prob was that not everyone was there at the same time so I don't know anyone still and who owns what. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?

Nope, had my GPS with me and found a back route through the lanes to the A5 biggrin.gif

overall i thought it was a top day.....plenty of things catered for all and the odd piece of exotic car thrown in for good measure sorry i didnt get to meet all you lot but i was with my cruise m8's imho this is how events should be and show max live the way forward

Who needs spec-r and bailey when cybercraft do all the shiny bits you can think off, in stainless too, rather than naff alloy biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

SMITHY

as nice as ure stuff is m8 which it is bailey stuff for the cossies is sssssoooooooooooooo much cheaper but as z's are not as mainstream we'll always pay top dollar for shiny goodies....for what it costs to buy a full list of all the z shiny bits you could buy another car

The show was OK, nice 'vettes and a really nice FTO, too many shite fords and sad vauxhalls though wink.gif a few good stands, but again mostly sad stuff. The main reason for going was to see the GPS stand, track down a good paint/body shop and get some lowdown on tuning our Z, so not all all disappointed there.

Thanks to all who gave us loads of helpful advice on tuning and let us ask loads of stupid questions. We can go ahead and spend stupid amounts of cash now (apparently in lumps of £500)!

cheers

Yeah it was mate, very impressive and they had an R34 on it when we were having a nosey round.

Some people have said "Crap Fords and Vauxhalls!" but I saw some cars Fords and Vauxhalls that made some of the styling on our cars look shite! wink.gif

FTO was a peach and I believe LEONARDO had something to do with that.

C4$H's car is nothing short of fcuking AWESOME! He's a top bloke aswell and Mrs T took more pictures of him than she did of the car! Women! LOL biggrin.gif

TVR out front of the Max Power area was outrageous, I've never seen anything like it styling wise and the ICE install was rediculous.

Who saw the Calibra with the wicked flip and what a bodykit? I only worked out what it was when I got up close for a good look.

Yeah it's nice to walk round the cars on the club areas but the trade stands with the mad ICE cars and the pit areas were the highlight of the day for me.

Ohhh and seeing that guy run the 0-60 in a Y reg Leyland Metro...what a crackup that was! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
