Hi all,

 

I just wanted a bit of help/advice regarding buying from other members on here.

 

I posted in Z32KING's thread about the stuff he has from the Z he's breaking before it got moved (correctly) to the Stuff for Sale section. I'd really like a couple of the bits he has, but I don't know if I'm allowed as I haven't yet paid my dues (although of course, I will be doing!). I know I'm not allowed to sell, but am I allowed to buy? I got in there quick with dibs on the bits I wanted, but as someone else has now asked for dibs on some of the same kit, I don't even know if you guys can see my post!

seeing as you can't pm, your best option is to pop your contact details on that thread - and hopefully Z32King will get back to you.

You can't post in the for sale section until you are subscribed :( Best thing to do is probably try and contact him direct or ask him to contact you. :) Maybe post in this thread and include your details in it. I will PM him and direct him to this thread ;) :)

You can post in the for sale section as a registered user you just can't sell until your subscribed. Your post for first dibs is showing fine so you should be ok.

Just a thought on this subject... Would it be possible/a good idea for the forum rights to be edited so that Registered Users can reply to posts in the For Sale section, but not have rights to post new threads? That way, Registered Users can get stuff they need and the amount of potential buyers goes up for the seller, whilst still meaning that you have to be subscribed to get the benefit of being able to sell.

Hmm - that doesn't seem to be the case for me, hence my last post! When I try to post a reply via the quote button, it just gives me the 'Splitfyr3, you do not have permission to access this page.' message, and there is no quick reply box at the bottom...

Hehe well that's good at least - but I posted that before it got moved from the General Z Related Section :)

I'll straighten a couple of things out ;)

 

1) Registered Users cannot post in the for sale section.

 

2) No.1 cannot be changed to allow regi users to post in it, because thats how it used to work and people took the piss and used it as an oppertunity to 'back door' sell!

 

3) Your post still shows because the thread was originally in a section that regi users can post, it was then moved to the correct section by a mod.

BTW subscribing only cost £20 for the first year and than £15 there after, and it is well worth it IMO, you get access to alot more sections, you can sell whatever you want, you can PM people and you get a welcome pack. Something to think about ;) :)

Lol - I know I know - and as per my first post I certainly will be sending my money! ;) Things had just been a tad tight for a while (cos I own a Zed, probably...) and forum membership wasn't high on the list at the time. Suppose I'd better put my hand in my pocket soon though :tongue:
