Im in cornwall right now, not exactly on holiday...infact not been on holiday at all this year :(

My brother and his family have been down for two weeks and i think weve had 2 days when it hasnt rained at some point. On the other hand it has been nice to have a week off and see them.

I got back yesterday, weather pants, surf surperb, and the fishing of the beach was good.

Pasties huge and the scrumpy was mind blowing, especially if mixed with Stella and a few brandy's. :D

I went to Newquay 2 years ago, and to be Honest I wasn't that Impressed, I had heard so much about it. I enjoyed Truro/Falmouth & Penzance though.

there are some absolute undiscovered gems in cornwall, and im not gonna tell ya about em simply because i want em to stay good

Julia and I stayed in Boscastle the first week in June this year - when it actually was summer:D

We stay there 2 or 3 times a year as we visit friends in Camelford. I expect we will move down at some point in the future...........

And Kim, you're right about Newquay - it's a dump and I steer well clear of the place:tongue:

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I lived in Newquay from 1988-1994 and agree that it's gone right downhill since. It used to be fantastic but now it's just a victim of its own excess. My Dad still lives there and my Mum lives in Wadebridge so I'll be going down to see them in September but I'm not especially looking forward to it - it'll probably be raining.

I am off to Cornwall on my hols on the 1st September - I love it down there

Fingers crossed for an Indian Summer :)

isn't everyone related to each other in cornwall?

YEP! and in st.just they still eat there first born:rofl:
