i had an interview yesterday and got the position, the description is business development/field sales advisior for a wholesale dutch flower co. i will be on the road 4 days a week calling on existing customers and also trying to get some new ones, fridays are admin day/paperwork from home, i will be covering about 1/3 of irl(good for z stalking) and will be in hotels at least 7/8 nights a month, i get a phone, laptop, fuel card, cc, and wait for it 2007 VW Polo diesel, atm its a 6 month contract, and i start on monday.

 

this means i will close my shop this saturday after 9 years, i am a bit all over the place i have to keep saying to myself i have not failed but rather circumstances have changed, my eldest daughter who was a partner in the business is having a baby, so she would not have the same time to give the shop, there is also a bit of a downturn in the economy and flowers are a luxury item or something you can do without if a budget is tight,

 

i am a bit nervous but i do have 17 years experience in the trade and once i get into it i will be ok, this week has been quite emotional telling customers and i have cried a good few times, sorry about the long post, i shall keep you updated after i start
