I've had my car back for a couple of weeks now and TBH not driven it much as it has had a lot of work done recently.

Today i have finished fitting my new suspension and brakes and i was driving it back from my friends and when i was nearly home the revs went upto 2000rpm and would'nt come back down, which was quite un-nerving! And then when i pulled over and put it in neutral it idled at 2500rpm! It did this the other day when i took it for a quick run round the block after its MOT. All of a sudden it was going along at 2000rpm and would'nt come back down!

When i pull over and rev the accelerator hard it comes back down to just under 1000rpm.

Also every now and again when i come to a stop at a junction etc.... it gets close to cutting out or actually does cut out

What is causing these problems? In simple terms please :wack: Is there anything i can do or check???
