hey guys the garage are convinced that i need to buy a new fuel pump on my car they reckon it wont flow well enough to run 555s and the z1 600 tubs... Everything i read tells me they are wrong whats the deal?

Featured Replies

Stock pump is 255lph , which is as big as you get aftermarket. The next step is 2x 255lph pumps.

Have they checked the fuel pressure ?

just tell them your not stupid and know it will be fine as it runs 255 lph the same as a walbro they are trying to sell you

P.S have a nismo fpr on the car already new filters as it was only built 3 months ago. New owners! they even told me that I would have to speak to the previous owners to get them to pay for the paint peeling off my cam belt covers as I asked them to re-do them. I told them that I would be happy to do that if they stopped work on my car which is with them for a gearbox swap, new springs and NA clutch assembly swap. As I'll get someone else to paint the covers and do all the work too! They changed their minds quite quickly!

lol, your fuel pump is fine. Unless they show you the fuel pressure dropping at fuel throttle and high revs that is, in which case chuck a new one in there.

Thanks buddy i'll give them the two fingered salute once my car comes back I think!
