What is this for.

Noticed a broken wire on a connector at the back central area of my engine bay. Its a 2 pin connector and is orange inside any ideas?

    Glad this thread came up, and its defo the knock sensor. the female side.

    Have just checked mine which has been bypassed with a 1ohm resistor.

    On closer checking one of the wires has broken.

    This might be the fault to my revving probs.

    But yours is the knock sensor.
