Where is the best/cheapest place to get Conzult software and cable from? I'm looking at getting some kind of software to 'talk to' the zed and Conzult looks the better option over Datascan feature wise. I've been looking at getting it from blazt.biz and it comes to £189.94 for full Conzult software, the cable and the shipping. Before I press the purchase button - is there anywhere better/cheaper to get it from and more importantly - for the people that have already bought it: is it really worth £189.94 or shall I just stick to the little light on the ECU :confused:

Yeah I thought I read that DTA sell them but I've just looked on their website to try and compare prices with blazt and can't see a section for conZult. I may just be being a dumbass and it's right in front of me though :D

EDIT: Just realised why I couldn't find it - was on the .co.uk DTA motorsport not .com. Told you I was being a dumbass :D Although - even though I have found the section it just links me back to the UK site where I can find anything about conZult. I'm sure Dan will be along at some point to point me in the right direction :)

Sorry about the lack of detail on the DTA (UK) site. As with everthing else, updating and redesigning the website is taking eons to do ...

 

As stated above, I do sell the full ConZult diagnostic package. Currently the cost is £245 including shipping and this includes the hardware, software, comprehensive user manual and full support (incl. updates) for registered users. These items are purchased to order and will take approximately 7~10 days to be produced and shipped.

 

For what it's worth, the "ConZult" stuff referred to on the BLAZT.BIZ website is SOFTWARE ONLY. You will still need hardware such as a blatz cable or a DIY interface to interrogate the car's ECU. And even then the functionality is limited when compared to our full diagnostic kit. Thats the reason why the price is so much cheaper. Blazt.biz are NOT authorised dealers of our ConZult equipment and you will not receive any support or updates for purchases made through them.

Lol cheerZ Dan. Seems that if I'm going to be getting some diagnostic software and an interface - it's best to get conZult from you. Will have to have a think about it at that price - I only paid £30 for the software and interface for my Dad's V6 Galaxy :O

 

Looking at the ConZult and Datascan owners list it looks as if the closest person to me with any diagnostics is Clarkey in Wolverhampton although there's always Zedworld in Tamworth - so would definately be useful if someone else in the Midlands bought it I think.

 

I'll have a think and a look at my money situation (I wanted an exhaust and a leather re-trim as well) and get back to you if I'm interested Dan.

That's fine Vern - it is always better to make a big ticket purchase with some careful thought behind it ;) LOL.

 

I know there is a big price differential between our ConZult equipment and other "generic" diagnostic tools for other cars. Ours was designed in-house from the ground up with the goal to improve on the Consult equipment used by main dealers. I think it is safe to say that we were succesful in achieving this goal as we have numerous franchise and independent dealers/garages who use our ConZult instead of the standard Nissan issue stuff. The main cost component is the software, which is bespoke and unique to DTA. It is forever improved and enhanced and all this is free to registered users.

 

LOL - reading the above paragraph back it would appear that I'm trying hard to justify the high price. There is really only one reason to buy the ConZult equipment rather than anything else ... it is just the BEST you can buy. Besides, with the money you save on diagnosing and repairing problems yourself (rather than a spanner monkey at a dealer/garage) you'll have the cost back in no time.

 

In any case, let me know if/when you wish to make a purchase.
