Somehow they opened the driver door (must have used this bar thingy because the keylock is non operational - I disconnected it a year ago and only used the alarm remote). They tried to start it and screwed up the ignition. Stuck a key breaker in obviously.
The key will not go in anymore (not all the way, almost - sometimes it even will) and it won't turn whatsoever.
I had the car towed to safety and now I'm thinking I'll remove the ignition, take it to a shop to fix it and put it back in.
Is it possible to remove the ignition as a DYI, how hard is it, any special tools?
What other options do I have? I was told I can have a special key made which is very thin so they won't ever be able to stick the key breaker in anymore.
Please advise and I hope it doesn't ever happen to anyone of ya.
