good luck jonce, all the best matey.

My sister lives in Munich. I do like Germany a lot. Amazing transport system in Munich. I have a soft spot for France, but would be happy to live in Germany. My sister's lived there now for over 5 years and would NEVER come back to the UK. You can hardly blame her.

Nice one.. All the best mate!! :duffer:

...PS, house prices in Germany aren't too shy of what they are over here which is why about 70% of the population rent. Don't even think about trying to get a credit card in Germany either. VERY difficult.

I live in Munich too! Flat looks out over the olympic village.

Houses here are expensive (in Munich in particular), fuel is nearly same as the UK, there are more 'immigrants' than the uk (which, to be honest, I don't have a problem with), basic rate tax is nearly double that in the UK, the exchange rate is awful, you have to pay the bank to have an account, the bread here is crap and the milk tastes funny... I'm looking forward to coming home!!!

Still, it's a great country. I'll miss the beer and the weather.

ps. no knife crime??!!

What you mean is the media is proud of there country and don't report the crime like we do in England. There was a case here where 4 girls where raped in the same location over a period of weeks... nothing in the paper... they didn't know to avoid this particular stretch of road...

Agreed my Sister lives in Verden, north germany and loves it. I think it's great over there!!! I'd live there

I prefer France, especially where my Dad lives in the country, if the pace of life went any slower it would stop, just how I like it. :D

I love France Kim. Out of all the places I've been to in the world, some pretty far-out places too, France has always been my favourite. The empty roads, the relaxed pace of life, the whole community spirit in France. I feel very much at home when I am there and often take my Z over to France for some relaxing country driving. :)

Thats what i ment by every country has its problems. Thats one incident showing the loss of life somewhere else. How many incidents happen here daily. My wife is Dutch and she is shocked of what happens here. She can't believe that you cant walk around your own town without worry.
