Hi,

On mj Jspec zx, i have a rocker type switch next to the digital clock (which by the way does not work, are these easy to fix? as it would be nice to have this working!)

There is no picture or label next to the switch...

Any ideas what it does?

Thanks

Barry

It is likely to be for either fog lights (if you have had one fitted) or more likely for one of those little pop-up marker things that many jap cars have on the bumper to help with the crazy parking in places like Tokyo.

It's proberly where someone has wired in the rear fog lights.

If you havent got one of those cheapo looking square fogs lights hanging of your rear bumper - the person who fitted that switch may have wired up your inner brake lights to light up(this is how my import was done, but dont work now!).

if youve got what looks like an ariel on your front bumber then it will be for that.

like has been mentioned its a parking stick, you press the button and it should go up, mined knackered aswell, apparently they are quite prone to breaking.

Mine has one too thats never worked if yove got one and have no intention of fixing it you may aswell take the shite beneath the bumper out i took all mine out and it made the car about a stone lighter!

Does anyone know where to buy those parking markers?

I've always fancied one - just for the look on peoples faces.

My mate had one on his that popped out with a light on the end.

If you do remove it, it would make an excellent nose-picking device for lazy people.
