Hi All.

 

I'm looking at getting a aftermarket rev counter.

 

There are different options for how high the rev counters go upto.

 

What is the highest most modified Zeds will safely Rev to? Could this beyond 9000 revs?

Go with the ACL white metal bearings theyr very highly rated in the states all the big HP engines have been using them.If Thor have problems drop me a line as my local engineering shop gets them cheaper than you can get them from Aus or the States.

Cool, the 9000 looks better i think.

 

Took a used engine down to Thor Saturday, so hopefully i may get some summer driving in it. I'm still waiting for parts to arrive though but the majority of it is here.

 

How are you getting on with yours?

Hi Mac yeh i spoke to him he says hes waiting for the engine to be transported from Preston to Rotherham.

As i said i would do it myself but im working in Spain at the mo and when i do get home its only from Friday to Sunday and the Mrs wouldnt be to happy if i trundled off on a Saturday for the day with a V6 engine in the back of our new BMW X5 LOL.

So the wait continues:(

586 @ 2.1 bar of boost but thats only on V-power will break the 700 barrier when we sort the race fuel out and when project WTF have I done is complete:)

LOL Robert it hits peak power @ 7300

i think but may be corrected that one of the main limiting factor to revs is the VVT system ,is not man enough for uba high revs,

 

so its you that is keeping my Zed from being done is it Steve :) ....havnt discussed Bearings with Andy yet , do you think you could get me some white power bearings ?

if i give you the money first of course :) and when Andy knows what size etc etc

Nice! Leaves a few hundres RPM left for overrevving too :hyper:

 

Looking at this thread: Clicky at the double ton you will need 463rwbhp. Off the top of my head I cant remember what RPM this is on a manual gearbox car?

 

Looks like you're in good shape to get some serious top end. :)
