Just read this, i've never been to see The F1 but you always associate it with Silverstone.

Even further to travel to watch it now.. Although when BBC1 cover it from next year, it won't be so bad.. I can't stand the fooookin adverts during the race :rant:

adverts in the racing is a right pain:rant:as long as they have someone who has actually raced doing the commentary so they know what their talking about fair enough not some of the t**ts they have on itv.:nono:

I remember when they did a GP there years ago. Think it was one of the extra "European" ones at the time.

 

Also remember when it alternated between Silverstone and Brands Hatch. Always preferred Brands too.

I forgot all about Brands Hatch, i remember watching as a kid in the 70's. I used to love James Hunt and also the black and gold John Player Special cars i think it was John Watson used to drive for them.

Feeling very old now lol.:D

it 1983 european gp ,

was a great race , senna was the king and a cheecky one at that , they realised that going in the pit lane took 1,2 secs of the lap time , so he did it to shave some time of a lap , lmao

 

would be good to see it there again!

Juat listening to Martin Brundle talking to Murray Walker and they seem to think the F1 will be staying at Silverstone???

Awesome, it's only 5 miles form me so i should be able to see it :D

 

Plus i could cycle it and beat the queus :tongue: lol
