i know its a little early, but how do you guys here in the irl region feel about us taking a 300zx.co.uk club stand at the above event, there are no details available as regards costs etc as yet, but i dont want to make enqueries about a stand if nobody is interested, japfest @mondello is the biggest/only jap car show over here with club stands, trade stands, time attack, drag and drifting.

this would be the FIRST time ever the club took a stand at any event in irl., if there was enough interest, i would ask the neo for a small contribution towards costs, and we should have our region banner by then as well.

its also possible i might ask on the z club and see if any of there irish members would like to join us, all suggestions, feedback, comments appreciated.

 

THE ARRANGEMENTS

Mondello only rang me today with the final details

they are posting me stickers for our cars today, only cars with these stickers will get into the paddock for the show stands, and at the reduced price(20euro for car and 2 people)

ALL cars on stands MUST be there before 9am, so my plan is to be there about 8am meet you at the gate give you your sticker and then you pay in.

i will update this as i hear from the cars coming, and the weather is to be good

thats 2, actually i wonder if theres a limit to the amount of cars on a stand,

the date is actually Sunday 7th sept., i spoke to the organisers yesterday and they will be back to me next week with details of club areas and prices etc.

i also hope to be working with the z club on this to try and get some of the older z models on the stand as well, i will be back with details as soon as i have them

This looks like a great event, would love to come over. Have been looking at hotels and ferries, it will cost a lot of money but may be able to make it. Week before the wifes birthday so could give her tickets for that :rofl:

Ok am now 100% certain I am coming. Have booked the ferry and the hotel.

Ok we are getting the 10am ferry from berkenhead, have a cabin so will be able to get my head down, on Saturday 6th. We are staying in the Citywest Hotel for 3 nights.

Richardgills (proud new owner of my little honey) kindly offered to take me to this event if everything is sorted on the car by then. He's doing a bit of work on it, last time i spoke to him the t.belt was being done and a couple of smaller things. Hope to see you all there as a blow in lol:nana2:

I'm 99.99% sure I'll make it to the event and look forward to seeing a few of you guys there.

 

Getting this Z into good shape is taking time and bucket loads of cash and while it won't be prinstine in September, it will have a fair bit of tidying up and maintenance work done.

I bought it from a guy in the North and he had it advertised on Petrolheads at one stage so perhaps you saw it there. It was in the UK before that for a while, originally in yellow and then got the respray job that you see.
