What do you all think about tonight fight, another pointless fight that he wins in 2 rounds, i hope this guy takes him at least 6 rounds and tests his chin, and if he does win, gets a title fight against somebody who is proven like manny pacquiao

 

anybody else think frank warren protects his fighters too much and tries to bleed them dry before putting them up against anybody who has any chance of giving them a run for thier money

the fighter should want the title shot from the first second he thinks hes ready, but in amir khan's case i think the money and the hype is already there with itv pushing his career, cos they have got nothing else to show, so he knows that he will get a shot sooner or later because itv will put up the money for the opponent, and he doesnt exactly need the money. in the real world a boxer needs the title shot to start earning real money. just frustrating that a boxer with his speed is being protected in his prime, im not sure about ther so called 'power' people keep talking about but he needs testing.

thats what i thought, khan was landing punches but they wern't hurting gomez, and thats why i think he will struggle against a proper world champ

Said the same thing, everyone he's fighting are people who are not making any real progress in the fight game but they think its the perfect time to show what they've got.

He's very good but does not carry the same awe of invincibility as Naz did, and I think he will get beaten once as he steps up to world class level. I still beleive if Naz didn't get carried away with all the hype and had trained properly for the Barrera fight who knows how great he could have been... sadly for Naz he let it all slip and his lifestyle since the Barrera fight has been terrible!!

hope itv dont do to amir what the bbc did to harrison! naz believed his own hype should have been working on getting back in the ring with barrera, as should ricky hatton if you want to became a ring legend. long live joe calzaghe :bow:
