I've just received an application form through from South Lanarkshire Council, inviting me to attend the above.

 

It says that the show is happening on Sunday, 17th of August. It is free of charge to display your car

(or £4 if you want to park it in the car park).

 

It also says that if we want to have a club stand, numbers are limitd to 20 (i cant really see us having a problem with going over though! :tongue:)

 

Also, the letter states that all cars displayed must have an MOT and Insurance for use on a public highway as the showing arenas are being treated as th same.

 

There's one little question though: Would we be classed as classic cars or modified cars?

 

They need numbers in by the 4th of july.

Just a wee reminder that the registration form needs to be in by the end of the week, so i think we need to get our fingers out!

I registered the people with their name on the list in the first post, with the exception of Pablo. I dunno if i read it correctly, but i read your above post as you wanted to pull out?

I was more or less offered the position of Scottish rep for our Yank forum

and declined. Trying to organise summit seems impossible sometimes ?

 

Fully apreciate that everybody has different priorities and not everybody is in a position to be at a certain place on a certain day.

If work commitments, car in bits, ill health, holidays etc dictate you cant make it, then fair enough, but to get a reply that states, and I swear this is true;

"She might want to do summit that Sunday"

As you, Ossian, myself and a few select others may know, it can be a proper nightmare trying to arrange a get together !:confused:
