After spending all my life in Scotland (born and bred!!) have emigrated to Malaysia a few weeks ago....

Certainly hot over here....my black zed currently on a boat and due to arrive next week:hyper:

Not seen a single z32 here in Kuala Lumpur although seen lots of nice cars..new R35 GTR, loads of 350Z`s......

Just wondering if anyone knows of members/garages etc in Malaysia?

Hi!

I was over in KL last year for a couple of weeks and saw about three Z32's (in various stages of tune/dressup) so there are a few out there. Saw all of them around the Bukit Bintang area and one at the KLCC. Don't know of any garages but if I were you I'd start looking for some of the more specialist garages. There are a lot of exotic and special cars in Malaysia so someone will know how to look after them. One word of advise ref. your Zed in KL: when it rains in KL it pours container loads at a time and the drainage system isn't all that great. I've seen 4x4's struggle on main roads after a deluge of about 10 minutes so try not to get caught in the "lakes" with the Zed - they are notorious for sucking up water through the induction system which will not only ruin the filter and air flow meter but knacker the engine as well. You may want to invest in new engine and filter splash guards.

Congratulations on the emigration - KL is definitely a great place to be. People are superbly friendly, your money goes a long way and the food is exquisite (and very cheap).

Hi Ronnie

Glad to hear you made it over OK !!

I got all the bits OK and they are currently being fitted - I'll let you know how I get on.

Dan, thanks for the advice....certainly encountered first hand the downpours. Will need to have a look round for a garage. As you said a lot of exotic cars about and the food is awesome!!!

Jeremy, glad the conversion`s going well...

I lived in malaysia for three years and plan on retiring there. Great palce, great food and great people. Good idea taking the Zed.

Good luck
