WTF gives, sellers can no longer leave neutral or negative for buyers! I can see a few advantages to that, but i can think of a LOT more disadvantages!!! Like the fact that sellers cannot be truthful about bad buyers anymore!

I have had more than my fair share of buyers who do not communicate or who back out of a sale etc etc..... And the only thing that could really be done was to leave neg feedback, now sellers cannot even do that.

I for one do not feel that the new system is fair at all!

Rant Over :)

I guess it kinda means you can bid for a car, go see it and then say you don't want it without a mark on your ratings.

Exactly! Buyers can now do what the hell they want with no consequences! :(

Not only that is neutrals now count against you.

My business had 100% feedback untill now but i left a seller neutral for sending me a poor product, he left me neutral back out of spite even though i paid instantly.

Previuosly the neutral didnt count and i kept 100% now it counts as negative so ive got 97.7 and the crazy thing is now sellers cant leave neutral for buyers so he wouldnt be able to do that now.

Its a fookin joke. I emailed ebay to try and get it removed but theyve done fook all.

i have 2 negative feedbacks from buyers of cars that never even turned up and ebay say they cant do anything about it !

I'm so fookin annoyed, the amount i pay in fees is ridiculous and then i have to put up with this BS aswell!

I think it's a good idea! You couldn't leave bad feedback for a dodgy seller before without them immediately giving you bad feedback in return even if you didn't deserve it! It's worse to be shafted as a buyer since you have already parted with you cash... as a seller you still have your item even if the buyer is a useless, only suffered a waste of time!

You can always use the ebay dispute process if the buyer messes you around...

Like i said i can see SOME advantages, however what you said is'nt necessarily true, a seller can send an item and not get it back!

You can now basically back out on buying anything and there's no consequences.

I sold a car and my boat 3 times last year on eBay and nobody turned up.

Cost me a fortune in fees and on each occasion I got no reply from them until I left negative feedback a month later, at which point the replies miraculously appeared!

I think it's a REALLY bad move on their part and makes it more like a normal shopping site than an auction.

All it's done is given all the dodgy buyers an excuse to rip off the sellers as much as they like and I'm sure they will have to spend even more time sorting out disputes the long way.

Why did it cost you anything? You can get your money back by following the normal 'unpaid item dispute' process.

Yes I claimed it back but the fees were quite high on a £3K boat and it took nearly 2 months to sort out on each of the 3 occasions it "sold" so I was without a couple of hundred quid for all of summer!

You don't get your listing fees back, only the final value charge.

I think it is nearly a good move.

I think it should be that you cn't leave feedback after the buyer has left theres.

This would stop tit for tat feedback and make it more accurate.

It seems these days that no sellers want to leave feedback until they have feedback from the buyer.

I have got to the stage as a buyer where I will not give feedback in these circumstances.

I understand as a seller that it can be just as bad the other way but at least you can leave a comment about there feedback afterwards.

The system isnt perfect but at least you can generally read between the lines with feedback.

Just my tuppence worth.

Yes but sellers also do that because they have no other way of knowing an item has been received.

There's no point giving great feedback to someone who then fraudulently tells you it hasn't been delivered and asks for a refund or wants another item sending.

Also a lot of new users forget to give feedback so a good way of getting them to do it is to remind them you'll give them feedback when they leave it for you.

No seller is going to leave negative feedback after a buyer has bought something and given them a good rating.

There's often a very good reason for tit-for-tat negatives and there's 2 sides to the story.

At least it was there to read before.

I think it should be opened up more so you can even leave a mini review and get the facts straight.
