Does anyone have one of these? I've been wanting a machine polisher for some time now. Originally looked at getting a Porter Cable, but been more and more interested in the G220.

Just wondering if anyone on here has one and/or has used one?

Cheers

I've got a machine polisher, it's a 'flex electronic'.

Good bit of kit, variable speed etc. It's just a bit big & heavy at times,

can give you 'arm pump'.

That Meguiars one looks nice and small, would probably be easier to

use than mine, whats the cost of it?

Yours looks like a rotary? Megs ones is an orbital like the Porter Cable. Not sure I'd trust myself with a rotary. More chance of 'burning' the paint and taking it too low. Good if you're experienced though.

The G220 is about £150. Need to get some good Sonus pads and polishes though.

Yeah, mine's a rotary, didn't realise the meguiars was an orbital.

The flex can be a handful at times, very powerful.

I mainly use it for 'cutting & mopping' faded paint, it's ideal

for that & the heads are available from screwfix, so no probs there!
