can anyone help me since i've put more memory in the pc , when i try and use DVD shrink the buffer memory goes up to nearly 2 gb and dvd shirnk stops ripping at that level. how can i set it up to run a lower buffer?

are you sure it's your memory not hard drive space? check directory where it is temp storing the file to check you have enough hard drive space

i've got over 300gb free on the HD, i was watching the performance in task manager and PF usage went up over 2gb as if it was using the memory to encode it. it start using the HD but then switches to the memory

that's a bit of a co#k aint it? could be an option in the settings somewhere cache to ram but still sounds odd. Not had any experience with dvd shrink I use elaborate bytes clone dvd combo with anydvd will rip anything

agree with you there probably quicker like you say reinstalling it than trying to fix it.
