I was thinking of putting XP on my laptop to get rid of Vista but Ive been told I will have all sorts of problems with driver software, is this true??

Very unlikely.

If you go to the manufacturers site and see if they have XP versions of the drivers available to download then that makes it easy.

Most stuff will work anyway but you might have a couple of bits of hardware that aren't on the XP CD and you just need to do a search and find the driver online.

We've bought about 6 macbooks for the office, including one pro, everyone has had a failure of some sort and the build quality isn't very good, all are cracked in the same place and all of them have a problem with clicking,

shame as its a good OS, the actual Mac towers are probably better as they don't get carried around as much

My favorite laptop in terms of build quality is defo a Vaio,

 that really shocks me
