well its decision time i guess since fitting the kit to the car ive realised what a mistake ive made , not in the style of the kit , its just that wherever i go i seem to catch the front bumper everytime i go in/out of the garage it scrapes when i go to the end of the drive it scrapes and if i go round a corner at speed , guess what , it scrapes

on top of all that the engine is piddling oil out of it at an alarming rate the front wobbles under braking and wobbles when im at 45 mph the center propshaft bearing has gone which causes vibration through the car ( not totally unpleasant feeling ) the brakes are grinding the rear valance needs painting again the interior needs redoing again its nearly mot time 2 tyres need replacing .....the list goes on and on

now ive been offered a skyline r33 gtst on an m reg the guy says he wants 600 quid too the skyline is near mint but im undecided as to what my next move is

dont get me wrong i love the zed but im getting increasingly frustrated with it going wrong and wonder if its time for a change should i spend the cash on the zed or go for the skyline , good thing is with the skyline its easily swapped for a zed at a later date

advise guys what would you do ,,, i know its my decision at the end of the day but im still not sure

take the kit off and sell it .... least it will stop the scraps

spend the money you get for it on fixing the engine :)

I think you should keep it bud, but it all depends how pissed off you are with it :(

my level of pissedoffness is unmeasureable but its been a bad week personally so that will have contributed to it

i would give the skyline a go unless you have the original bumpers etc to put back on.

the trouble is with kits it a compramise with the looks to the practicability especially with the veilside stuff. we all want our car lower big bumpers and side skirts and get frustrated when we bump scrape and bottom out the car. ask yourself. it didn't do it when the kit wasn't on it so at the end of the day you have realised it was a big mistake.

either take it back to standard kit wise or sell and buy a skyline for what sounds like troublesome money but could well be a bargain

i wouldn't trade the zed in for a gtst!!

Nooooooooo way Matt, if it was a gtr, would be a hard decision but not for A Gtst.

USED TO PISS ME OFF IT SCRAPING ALL THE TIME BUT I DROVE IT TILL THE DEATH!!

Now i miss it all nicely kitted up!!

well ive decided to keep my zed for another year at least and try and finaly get it finished (new bumper, 99 spec and coilovers)

get the bits sorted bud, you will fall in love with it again
