It's whatever email address you used to register with Paypal. You can also go in and add additional emails afterwards.

I'm not 100% certain you need a Paypal account to just RECEIVE money. I think so long as the payer has your email address he can pay you via Paypal. I presume paypal will email you that they have money to pay you and will ask for your bank details in order to transfer the amount. (I'm sure they will deduct a 'handling' fee).

If you DO have to open a Paypal account this takes several days as Paypal (or you) have to make an actual small payment in order to test everything is working before they will actually let you use the account.

It might be a good idea to look at their website 'paypal.com' as they're sure to have a 'FAQ' section or maybe a phone number or email address you could contact them on.

The other alternative would be to ask someone you can trust and who has a Paypal account if the funds could be received by them.

Good luck, and congratulations on your sale!

As Andy says.. Your registered email address is your Paypal 'username' and is what anyone needs to send you a payment.. You can also send a buyer a 'payment request' by using their registered email address.

Don't forget the money will be transferred into your Paypal account and you will need to transfer it into your regular bank account else it will stay with Paypal.

The process is very simple and easily followed by clicking on the 'withdraw' button at the top of the screen. This transfer is free of charge provided it is more than £50.
