when i brought my car it came with the reg L500 GUN, but now need the cash ready to put the car back on the road. but how do you go about selling a number plate and getting another standard plate for my car?

its worth around about £500 but maybe more for a privite sale

its a shame it wasnt L540 GUN, would be worth a lot more. your best bet is to ring dvla. its easy to transfer, but you need to have a year related one put back on.

so after i sell my plate how do i get one for mine do the dvla auto send you your plate?

you would be better giving them a ring mate.

just changed a number plate myself the other day, when you do the transfer and pay your £80, that includes a new number or if you wanted the plate on retention, it's £105 which is valid for a year (you have to pay by year after that).
