Just some suggestions of events that we could attend in some way this year, any other suggestions welcome.

 

I suggest the next meeting be a run to Crail on 13th April, which ties in with the Jap show being held there. ( if I get my finger out I may even have my car back on the road)

 

The following meeting I want to make as a club run, up through Glencoe or the likes stopping off for a meal somewhere. Hoping to make it around the 25th May.

 

The only other definite is Chatelherault Classic Automobile Rally which is held some time in August, free to enter and lots to see. I will arrange a club stand if a few of the members are going to attend.

 

If my car is up and running I'm planning on attending Z008, if anyone else is interested we can arrange a convoy down.

 

 

So post up your thoughts on the above and let me know of any other events you are interested in.

The crail idea is a great idea. Would be great to see more decent cars there rather than the usual honda integra's or starlets/glanza! Was up there yesterday and all you seen was corsa's, 106's, integra's, starlets and poopra's!!!!

 

I think im going to have the zed on Livicruise's stand for fast and modified this year, so i'll be there.

 

Isnt the louden castle show a load of boys in corsa's and nova's?

I'd still be up for it if we could get anough interest for a stand?

 

I'm totally up for a drive up north. Would be great to do it towards the end of may....perfect weather for getting the roof's off and a blast up through the mountains!!!

 

The Chatelherault meet would be good. usually a bit of interest in this.

 

I would love to go to the z008 but unfortunately, i'm playing in a pipeband competition that saturday so i cant go down.

Does anyone know if Ed's still racing at Crail? I haven't seen him the last few times I've been there.

Does Ed drive a red TT lwb????

I was at in september and seen a one that had severe boost problems. He said he had just fitted some boost jets.....but failed to get over 99.9mph.

Isnt the louden castle show a load of boys in corsa's and nova's?

I'd still be up for it if we could get anough interest for a stand?

 

If thats the case we can give it a miss, not really my scene or many others. and looking at the web site it would work out quitwe expensive if anyone brought their kids.

Great.... I still dont know myself whether I will manage to Z008, it all depends on how the cars running by then, ive said for the last 3 years that I would go down to some of the big national meeting and havent managed yet so I need to get my finger out and go down.

 

As for Ed only met him a couple of times at meets, but never heard anything of him for ages

Ok Saturday 24th May for the club run. I'll need a list of whos going to be going, to arrange start and meeting points also probably best to get a rough idea on numbers to try and arrange some pub grub enroute. I'll start a new thread with some details soon.

I just wanna say thanks to Ossian for organising something. I would imagine that its difficult to arrange meets when your own car aint running.

 

Also, i'm a defo for the run......not 100% for the crail date, might be needed elsewhere. Will find out closer to the time!

Hi Colin, I am still alive but have not been to crail for a while (major rebuild)

just about ready to do it all again though, will be at the Banzai meet.

Do you know by any chance someone who can fit a ring and pinion gear set to a diff, dont want to try it myself incase i get it wrong.

I'll ask around, there's a couple of Stock car guys locally that are always messing around with diffs (but probably just with a welding torch!). They might know someone up near you.
