Cars up to £10.000 13 Total £81.000

£10.000 to £20.000 33 Total £508.000

£20.000 to £30.000 26 Total £702.000

£30.000 to £40.000 16 Total £599.000

over £40.000 10 Total £630.000

 

35 involved taking of keys

8 taking of keys in burglary

2 taking of keys by violence

 

So it does work!!

Is that recovered value of cars??

 

 

Yep, top of the list was a £150,000 Bentley and down at the other end a £500.00 cavalier!

How many cars did they not recover that were reported stolen?

Tracker reckon on a 95% recovery rate. They say most of the remaining % are either found burnt out before reported stolen, owner is away on holiday and the car is stripped before it`s reported or the unit is a bad install and found soon after the theft.

 

Jez, Snooper don`t deal in the Geodesy so can`t get massive discount. i can buy through them and get it a bit cheaper but not much.

What about the product ad that Johnny had up at Billing. Was it called the Road Angel ?

Didn`t see it sorry. All i will say is be aware of units using GPS. They look great on paper but once the car is covered and the GPS receiver can`t see the sky then it`s left the planet.

I have spoke to Tracker today and they are looking into the incident involving that guy with the Boxter that was nicked. I`ll let you know what they say.

even tracker themselves dont like the horizon they only made it cos the insurance companies insisted they had a GPS model
