i have oil pressure that drops and comes back,do i need to change the oil if so what oil is recomended. or is the switches on these cars tempromental.

This will most likely be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor. These are prone to fail given the age of the cars. Nissan charge around £80+ VAT for these but you may as well get an aftermarket oil press. gauge.

 

Oil wise - there are many (divided) opinions on this. I have always uses Castrol Magnatec 10W40 without any running problem (summer or winter).
