I was sorry to miss this one but I am currently in the Canaries, which when I watch the weather for home, I glad I am. I would definitely be interested in more track days and will be at Japfest too. Jimmer has fixed the car but more on that when I get home.

Oh and by the way, well done Dave, it looks like it was a cracking day mate.

Looks like an ace day. Im going to upgrade my brakes before taking onto a track tho!

Maybe we should have a dedicated trackday section to go with the new regions:x:

Me and Paul were working on a Gearbox change on a Black TT 2+2 till 2am, but new box was dead too (took a chance on an unknown one) so could'nt take that. So we ended up working till 5:30am to get the Convertable driveable for the days event.

We had a little more than an hours sleep before we all met up for the convoy, but was worth it. Really enjoyed it.

Was interesting to see all sorts of Performance (and non-performance LOL) cars turn up for the event. A Lot of fully caged track day toys too.

Gutted, got owned by a Civic! lol ;)

Dont matter how powerful or fast your car is, the track boys with there track prepared cars will eat your ass...

True, there was a big mix of cars and drivers(skill) on the track.

Everything from Fully track stripped and caged Impreza's to New Porshes, M3's and Ferrari's. A lot of cars wearing nurburgring and castle combe stickers.

A few standard family cars too :slap:

It was good to see Borderzed in his standard 2+2 TT holding of a modified E46 M3 CSL for a number of laps and I think paul was running circles around everything (inc that Civic and all the track prepped cars) on the second session. It can be dangerous mixing so many different cars and skill levels though.

Some drivers were giving it everything and others were not there to race or push themselves and the car to its limits.

A lot of the more expensive and faster machinery were the slowest on the track because their owners were understandably not want to take any risks with the car.

But thats track days for you, your there to have fun, no matter how fast or steady you drive it .....if you want a full-on competitive race then you need to enter a dedicated Race event.

Pity it was so wet though....usually is at Castle combe lol

The Wipers were lifting at 150mph+ on the straight which caused some visibility issues LOL

His sister was'nt happy about the Supra LOL She said he was sideways at every corner and the tyres were still smoking when it was parked up on the Club stand afterwards.

The Zed front brakes are completely warped too.

First few goes are very daunting though, even as a passenger.

We missed you at the pub, we were only a couple of miles from you down the road at the next pub by the sounds of it. We went on into Bristol after that for a meal.

How were the other 2 track sessions you and Dave had after we left ? How did you get them...somebody selling them ?

But how crafty is he getting 2 free goes for the price of a cup of coffee, just started talking to the steward there he said not many cars seem to be going on, he asked if any left for sale and the guy just said go get your car,lol so he did then blagged the woman in the office cos another steward wouldnt let him, told the woman he used wrong form and she gave him another one, lucky sod
