Hello Peeps

Seen this SWB N/A manual on Piston heads does anyone know it? The owner has said that it was owned by a former club member.

SWB on Pistonheads

It looks very nice was going to go up over the weekend from Bognor (305 miles) then he tells me the heater matrix has been disconnected. He said it was done by the previous owner but doesnt know why. I have been assured that the air con still works, is this possible with the heater matrix disconnected?

Also would anyone know what kind of cost may be involved in getting that sorted either a new matrix or just connecting pipes.

Any help and asap (with the short time span) would be most appreciated.

Chris

Your looking at around £250-£300 for replacement heater matrix including fitting at a Specialist.

£4995  :nono:

This was less than half that price.....and the heater matrix is fully working :D

So is that mega over-priced even tho' its a shorty manual? What should be top whack do you reckon?

Was sent lots of pics & it does look v good inside & out.

In my opinion its double the price I would pay for it.

Just compare it with mine..... 1995 Version S NA manual. Just imported and like new underneath. Only fault of any note with mine is a weak/worn clutch. apart from that it drives handles and stops spot on.

asking price from the dealer was £2500 with 11months MOT and 5 months tax. (I paid a lot less than the asking ;) ) Of course now Ive got it Im about to spend another £2500 on mods! LOl Buts thats another story.

The guys in the club who have seen it will vouch for what Im saying.

Im not boasting or anything about mine... just telling you to give you something to compare it to. The pics on Pistonheads show it as a nice motor and they are not common... however that doesnt make it a good idea to pay over the odds. I know of two 1995 manual Slicktop TTs that have sold between £3500 and £4500 very recently.

Both very nice motors.

PM me if you want to talk more.

The guys will be getting bored of me droning on about my new mota :nelson:
