as some know im a property manager (of sorts), i have just recieved a letter today explaining that from april the 7th the government have to decided to launch their new fantastic housing benefit payment scheme, instead of the landlord or letting company recieveng the rent of a property(S) in way of a bulk cheque, they are know giving the full amount (or upto the sum of £50 a week) to the tennant, thus allowing them to set up a standing order to pay the landlord themselves out of their own bank
this is to allow the claimant (usually jobseeker) to build up a responsible attitude towards money which may help in future employment
so this now means will have to become a full time rent collector as we have over 60 tennants with rents variyng from £48 a week to £90 a week, i will also have to be carrying thousands of pounds a week in rents and leaving me vunerable to attacks
i will also (probably) be chasing rents day and fookin nite
how the hell do the government think that paying the rent money to the tennant instead of direct to the ladlord is the way forward, can you imagine the shite im going to get from tennants not willing to pay, i find it idiotic of them to adopt such a stupid payment method, i have trouble getting £4 a week of them at the moment, trying to get the full rent will be nigh on impossible
my job is suddenly going to get a lot harder, i can see there being a lot of homeless people i 2008, at the end of the day we aint a charity, no rent no room
big up to the people in charge :headvswal :headvswal :xxx: :xxx: :xxx:
rant over (for now)
