I am about to get some credit checks done by a mortgage lender for a first mortgage and a little uneasy about what they will find.

 

what does the credit check exactly show?

 

does it show only the current balance or the recent balance history?

 

does it see major outgoings etc or just bottom line numbers?

it checks your credit history, tells them what loans, credit cards and so o that you have outstanding, will also check if you pay back on time or if you are a credit risk, you can get a free 30 day online trial at experian and you can check your own credit file

 

i foundout the previus owner of my house tried to get a loan in this address just a few months ago, ive had this house now for about two and a half years

it also checks the electrol role and previous searches done

 

the report shows upto 6 years of any credit payment history, if any have been late payments they show up s 1 for 1 month behind etc

 

it also shows any linked addresses and any linked people to you, the info is also shared by other finance houses for fraud purposes etc

 

score wise its between 0-1000 and 950+ is considered a v good score and "credit worthy" 850-950 is good but may get refused by some squeeky clean places and anything below that and your struggling to get anything.
