What do you want from it mate? What are you wanting, to tone up or to get bigger? What muscles are you wanting to target.

Those things are only any good for keeping toned more than anything else.

Find your local Freecycle.org group - people are giving those things away all the time.

I know everyone says free weights are better but I fancy a multigym.

I've seent his one for £299.

Most muscles I guess!

Why are they no good for increasing muscle mass? Can't you use them to do small numbers of repetitions with heavy weights?

You are better off getting an olympic set for £150 a decent bench and some stands that can double as bench stands and squat stands!

Very few machines cut the mustard in the home budget bracket!

You would all be better off joining a proper health club and I find just sitting there looking at the crumpet raises my heartrate to exteraordinary levels :D

LMAO ;)

If your aim is to build muscle then yes you are right, you need to do sets of around 8 reps at a heavy weight. That multigym only offers upto 200lbs of resistance which is about 90kgs. Once you get into it that might not be enough for you. Best of just joining a proper gym where you can do squats, bench press, etc and take advantage of the free weights.

Free weights....if you are serious about changing your body for the better, buy some, learn the exercises and go heavy!

The same as someone saying they are serious about owning a Zed and then buying the corgi version....no point in it.

hi if you need any help getting to know excerscises(sp) or nutrition for building muscle just email me.
