off to look at a new toy tommorrow as a mate of mine is selling up and ive always wanted one

its a 1984 corvette with a 5.7 v8

never had anything to do with american cars so has anyone ever owned one and what should i be looking out for

he wants £1600 quid for it ...is that cheap he says it runs fine and he was the importer a few years back and paid a fortune for it but took it off the road last year to do some work on the interior which he never got round to doing he also removed the starter motor to do some work on something else and he says a small copper pipe on the starter motor has cracked but it still should work fine unfortunately he has no time to finish this and now he needs the space , hence the sale

been looking on a few sites as to the spec of his car but cant find the right model its a manual with twin targas and a black leather interior , all the ones i can find have a red interior and digital clocks ( which this one doesnt have as it has normal needle clocks ) and a single panal roof that lifts off and goes in the boot its also got pirelli scorpion tyres on which are 385 at the rear ....ive never even heard of them but he says they cost him 2 grand from the states

anyway i'll post up some pics tommorow after ive been to see it just wondered if anyone had any advise

Pedals are the same bud, you are just sat on the otherside of the car and the gearstick is on your right.

it takes about 2 days to get usted to it

I stopped trying to do it when i tried pushing lightly on the brake and for some reason i could'nt do it, it just seemed to push the brakes on hard no matter what!
