Had to reinstall windows, backed up everything to another HD. loaded up, went to get stuff from second HD and you guessed it. Gone.

Beofer anyone asks I didnt ask the computer to do anything to the other drive while installing, somewhere along the line it assumed. Id like to find the programming nerd that assumes everyone speak binary and kink the coont in the nuts repeatadly untill they understand.

thanks mike, but its defo gone now, it got partitioned.

You can still recover data from a HD following the creation of a new partition. Even after several formats of that new partition. When I return to work I will post the application we use. In the meantime don't write anything to that drive.
