Hi All,

For the past few days I have been getting a slight crunching sound as I engage the starter motor. Do I need a new starter?

It definatly sounds like there's something iffy as the cog engages, could a tooth on the flywheel be broken?

Any suggestion on new and second-hand prices would be welcome.

Could be the Starter motor gear has lost a tooth or two, You would be best gettin one from a scrap yard, i think there is a fella scrappin a Z in the For Sale Section.

If it is the flywheel, then get a Aluminium one about 450 dollars from the states. Hey if its broke - Upgrade it, thats my moto hehe ;o)

Thanks Nico,

Hmm good excuse to get an ally flywheel. I am waiting on the Underdrive pully set being fitted so the flywheel would go nicely 8-)
