car park at Fraddon gone, used by shopping precint now! only McD car park left.

Glad to see Gary is going to make it, sorry I will miss it!

Somebody needs to tell John In Falmouth about change? he was going to go this week end?

Fox and Hounds at Lanner be good if everyone else is up for it? I'll send John for Falmouth a txt to let him know when we've decided a location... Shame you can't make this one Ray...

Sod it, lets make a decision now. 1300-1330 at Fox and Hounds at Lanner it will be. All we need is for the weather to be fine and we should have a good turn out.

Oops, didn't see the voting buttons at the start of this thread. Vote for the Fox and Hounds and then I won't look too stupid.

I really don't mind but have voted for Fox and Hounds on the basis that it's probably the nicest pub. Just use the voting buttons and hopefully we will have a clear winner. If the one at Fraddon comes out tops then I suggest we push 5 miles further down the road to Mitchell (just after Mitsubishi Garage) where there's a decent pub and car park. I pulled in at the Fraddon McDonalds only last week and the car park next to it was still in use - although Ray is correct in saying that its used now by Lorries. That said, it is a Sunday. Some of our member come from past Penzance so even the Fox and Hounds will be 40+ miles away. Vote for your preference and let the organiser (Lisa) choose whats best.

:hyper: Looking forward to catching up with you all

Yeah it's gonna be a good one this mate and even better if the weather holds out for us!

So....... Any one fancy joining the convoy from Plymouth, should be 4 of us so far leaving Plymouth in a convoy

Count me in for Lanner vote as well but it won't show on here as I need to re subscribe so that makes it 4 all at the mo... If it's a tiebreak then we need a deciding pub! :D

Someone look into a pub in between to make it fair then we will go with that??

Went past the car park in question at Fraddon (next to Brewers/Maccers) today at 1:40.....no lorries in there and only about 4 cars, pretty dead.

Good to know, but location still undecided

Suggest we make an early decision on this one just so we know where we are going. Have spoken to a few others with Zeds in the area and they appear keen to attend and are "hopefully" watching the site. All we need now is for the weather to be on our side. Could be a good turnout.

Im going home after the meet, but have to collect rest of the family first...fraddon would mean me driving 30-40mins in homeward location for meet, then the same back again in opposite direction to collect family, before heading back that way home again.

Im keen on Lanner becuase of where I will be staying in Cornwall that weekend.

But thats just personal preference, will go with majority ofcourse.

Right, time for the SW Organiser to make a decision :D Been looking into it and have decided Truro is where we are holding the meet :p this is fair for all. So does anyone know a nice pub with good size carpark in Truro? :hyper:

Dont think Shelton wants his car near the beach. Pick a diff pub for us Ray then the decision will be made ;)

Beach at Perranporth, plenty of pubs!!

Ray - you obviously like Perranport. The car park is crap (to put it bluntly). Cars will be covered in spray (read sewage on a windy day) and the chances are it will be quite busy - even though its winter (lots of dog walkers). Pubs are also crap.

Sorry mate but that is my honest opinion.

Personally I can't think of a pub in Truro that will not be full-ish on a Sunday afternoon. Pubs that aren't busy will normally involve street parking which leaves the problem of everyone getting split up. The only one that possibly springs to mind is the County Arms but I reckon that will be pretty full on a Sunday. Guess we will then need to think about bookings etc. Your call but Fraddon or the Fox and Hounds still seems like the best bet. Maybe someone else can come up with something in the Truro area.

Oops. Didn't see Legarths thread so can understand why he doesn't want Fraddon. I'm happy to go anywhere. Just tell me where and when.

Yeah County will be heaving, Victoria Inn, Threemilestone (just outside Truro)....car parks about same size as County. Oaktree Inn same area.

Pub just off Chiverton Cross rbt...on St.Agnes Road...can't remember the name

All others can think of will be busy and crap parking.

Just a suggestion but if we do Fox and Hounds at Lanner then we could all go for a drive down to Falmouth after... Don't mind though, whatever suits people... Failing all that then if we meet at the usuall pub in scorrier cause the car park is nice and big we can then nip of somewhere near by for some food... Tricky Dickies does some good grub on a Sunday!
