Bought what I though was a tidy 1999 LPG vectra on Saturday. All was going well until until it died on me on the way to work this morning  .

Turns out that one of the coilpack drive outputs from the ECU is fed to the LPG computer. The wire used was about as thick as my iPod headphone wire and it has shorted out to the engine block. So far I have discovered that the ECU output on cylinder 1 is fooked and coil number 1 has gone into meltdown. Ran an ECU diag last night (before all this happened) and it reported a dodgy MAF (seller told me this was the only fault,) knock sensor on cyl 4, an air temp sensor and an exhaust gas sensor faulty.

I feel like I've been ripped off tbh, but it also angers me that a modern ECU, numerous sensors and a coilpack can fook up so easily. Also, why are all 4 coilpacks glued together? My Zed is 10 years older and pisses on this piece of shit in every possible way  .
