Hi,

My broadband connection keeps on dropping every 10-20 mins and sometimes it connects again right away and sometimes not, but it comes up with a different error code for not reconnecting!

Any help would be appreciated?

It is talktalk, they have been very good for the past 12 months, their basic techhies can't help me and referred me to their 2nd line techhies after an hour hanging on the phone I gave up :(

I get probs with tiscali some evenings, went through a really bad patch about 3 months ago, every evening went off every 15-20mins after about 7pm. Connection went until I turned router off for 30 seconds or so and back on. Was a right pain in the arse ALL computers in house went down was the same with another modem I tried too. I blamed the isp but they won't admit it to thier customers. Seems stable at moment just the odd day here and there

I have recently signed up with Talk Talk and had the same problem, constantly loosing my connection, then cant connect then wont connect. Are you using a router if so there is an address for the router like http:/192.168... (other numbers) try and connect to that. Mine did connect to the address then wouldnt connect to internet explorer. I done all sorts of scans on my pc then it would settle down and be ok for a while

.

Recently my neighbour who works with PC world messed about with the settings as my sons pc wouldnt stay connected with the wireless connection, it has been fine and also I havent been disconnected as much either so it might be worthwhile getting someone that knows about this to set it properly.

To be honest I am not too bad with the pc but this wireless stuff does my box in. I would try and connect to the router vis the add on the back of it see if you connect and take it from there.

HTH Cheers John

Had wireless but I ditched it as I don't really need it, was hoping someone on might be able to give me some pointers?

The router can connect yer other pc's to a wireless network, a modem only connects the 1pc to the phone line. My router has 4 connections on it that you can wire directly 4 pc's from the 1 phone connection. Mine is a Netgear DG834G Router, do a search and see what its like to compare.

same as you mark im with talktalk, problem has not ocured for a while, but as soon as my phone rings my connection goes LOL Fed up with being on the phone to some foreigner not understanding fook all i say, they say there technical, funny how i know more than them!! so i just wait until contract is due :)
