Staggered through the door after 10pm tonight as I usually do on a Wednesday after a day locked in the studio vocal booth to be greeted by my better half.

What I haven't told people on here is that a) I recently got engaged and b) I'm now getting married next year...I have to mention this as it's sort of relevant! As a combo Christmas/Wedding/nextyearsbirthday present she tells me she's only taking us both to LA so I can get my next tattoo done by the queen of ink and all round sex goddess, Kat Von D! :hyper:

I'm a massive fan of the whole retro-vamp thing ie Betty Page et al and as we're both fans of Miami Ink and now LA Ink, Kat would is the perfect choice for a black/white/grey, Vargas-esque (Google is your friend ;)) pin-up from elbow to shoulder on my right arm. She wouldn't have told me but we have to submit the art-work beforehand. Bless! I'm absolutely chuffed to bits! What a gal! (That's my better half rather than Kat...;)) :D

Made up for you leigh, very lucky boy indeed, and she sounds like a top gal.

That reminds me, some more tattoo work is on the cards.

good luck matey

Kat von Dee would be sex on legs without the tatoos. With them, arrg she looks a mess. But if tatoo's are your thing, then thats an amazing present.

Fan of Miami Ink myself and know of Kat's work, so Jealous as F**k, but fair play bud you've obviously got your self a goodun there, enjoy the experience and many congrats on the impending Wedding ;)

Congrats on the engagement Leigh. She's a beautiful girl and seems a very nice person. Not into body art though. Growing up in Barnsley the tatoos always remind me of a certain type of person. Usually the ones either thumping and kicking me or being thumped and kicked by me.

Also I think natural bodies in good nick regardless of age are beautiful without adornment. A lady in good shape is right just the way she was made. It's like putting the wrong sause on fish. It kills the point of eating fish.

Fook I'll leave it there before i sound like eric Canton'a

Congrats anyway fella.

Cheers guys! I was on t'interweb till the wee small hours going through pin-up archives to try and settle on either one or a couple I could use to composite an image...still psyched about it!

Although I appreciate the body "unadorned" I have to say that good ink does it for me on a woman. Though being a bit of an arty-farty, chin stroking muso type I tend to associate with more people in alt circles where ink and piercings are more the norm rather than the exception!

Lol@Maaaaark! :D ;) I was thinking less Cantona and more Pierre-White with your food-based imagery! :D

Cheers for the congrats on the other thing as well guys (oh yeah...there's a wedding as well....! :D ;))

I just sincerely hope I'm sat down with some sort of pillow on my lap when Kat's leaning over me...oh Christ...I'm in trouble aren't I? :D

Congratulations Leigh! on the engagement and wedding ;)

Fantastic news and going to LA to see Kat von D... that's sooo cool

I've had a rather large tattoo on my left arm for a long time and it's good to here someone that likes them on women.... not many in all the years I've had mine

Yeah was watching Miami Ink, that woman has talent for sure :D

Know what you mean about different circles, I grew up amongst punks and bikers, goths, etc so was always around a lot of tats and of course a lot of music too! :D

Cheers Diane! Yep, I'm over the moon about the wedding...not to mention the forthcoming ink! :D

Hell yeah, there's nothing sexier than a woman with good tats....and yes I did say tats you grubby lot :nono: ;)

is that the tattooist or your bird?

either way, BOOIIIINNNGGGGG

No mate

To be honest his Girlfriend is much nicer looking, I jest you not and that rare combination of bieng a really nice person instead of being up her own arse about it.

(Why did I not recognise that flaw in my own wife all that time ago :slap: )

I'm arty-farty too leigh, but of a different generation I suppose. When I was at Art School art students were generally still all hippies and I supose the indy seen are the new hippies. So we were all long hair and jesus sandles or in my case bike boots or flip flops when not on my bike.

I've got plenty of good friends with tatoos but like i said growing up in a hard minning town Tatoos represented something totally different and being a long hair hip art student lead many of them to think I would be easy kicking, but having had all my 4 brothers be cock of the school before me I was drilled to fight.

That and the fact that having seen Tatooed women when they reach there 50's and the tatoo's have blurred into inky messey blobs. Nooo Way will they ever sit with me as complementry or badges of honnor.

I am trying to put you off Sorry.

you jammy sod, i think Kat rox, and her work is just the bees knees, love the art work, congrats from Rob and I on your engagement and wedding.

P.S. are you sure just a pillow will cover your embarrassment ? LMAO......i dont think so !!!

Now that's weird. I put a post up in reply to this thread the other night and it's disappeared...:(

Anyway, let's try again.

Mark: Lucie turned red when she read that and blew you a kiss...thank Christ she didn't ask me to pass it on! Lol! :D ;)

Yep, guess it's an art school/generation thing...mind you, they'd only just invented the wheel back when you were a lad so the tattooing technology must've been pretty poor... :D ;)

Wendy (and Rob!) and Tim: cheers guys! :D :D

Cheeky Git

The tatooing technology????

Isn'y it still a rusy nail with some cotton tied round it that you dip in ink and then stab through the skin.
