The organiser of the 2000 blockade, Brynle Williams, was on Welsh TV tonight, saying that another blockade was imminent.

Strange that there's no mention of it on his website. He's been made an Assembly Member for North Wales since 2000, so I reckon he's more likely to act as a peace-maker between the Hauliers and the Government rather than a protest leader. It's funny how farmers have such close links with our councils and governments and how their land seems to get sold off, just before a major housing project begins  .

dont matter where you look dude theres corruption throught all the councils no matter who or which greedy pig is in ;)

They should block the M25, M1 and M6, then block all the ports like Folkstone and Dover.

Or drive the trucks into Westminster and park them there for a couple of days.

No need - they do that anyway every day, its called the highways agency patrols lol. They close the motorway if there's a stray pebble on the road these days

Well I have a whole garden full of pebbles, lets have some fun.

'course, if you join in with a fuel blockade now, you can probably expect to be arrested under the various terrorism acts.. (yes, that's what I heard)

Peaceful protest? Not in our totalitarian state! I mean.. uh.. democracy.

(Yes, I know calling the UK a totalitarian state is pushing it a bit, compared to some other countries)

its the people who work for the fuel companys i feel sorry for , the government takes near 3 quaters of the revenue , and its the fuel depots that get the bad press

it isnt. but i would just like to point out its a bloody labor government in charge. for teh people my ass, their just like every other socialist party.

While the system is run on greed and 95% of people are more interested in lining their own pockets before anything else, we are all going to pay, forever.

Given up with the cost of fuel thing now. Way I see it a car is a luxury, and just like ANY luxury item if you cant afford it, dont have it.

In that case they've got you where they want you. And just to justify it they'll paint you as a 'green victory'.

Oh thats right, because all the other protests have worked very well. The cost of fuel hasn't risen at all has it!

Scream shout, make a little blockage that does nothing except hurt ourselves and it gets you nowhere except stressed and just another grumpy old man.

Accepts fuel costs will rise and live with it instead of trying to fight a battle you will never ever win.

It would take something similar to the Poll Tax riots to change fuel tax in this Country. In France it was a different story. This place has no industry anymore, thanks to privatisation and takeovers. We will always be taxed to the hilt to pay for our booming service industry, most of which is a product of EU Directives.
