Any Vista specialists out there?

 

Im trying to install Vista onto my pc, the hard disk was wiped clean (using fdisk). I boot up from the Vista installation disk, it displays "windows is loading files" and a white progress bar across the screen. Then the next screen has a small green progress bar with Microsoft Corporation below it, then goes to a blank screen and all activity stops.

as in when it starts loading the GUI or when your actually installing the OS ?

Its during the installation itself. The stages ive done are

 

1, Boot up with Vista Ultimate 64 (OEM)

2, Says downloading files

3, Get the next screen up with progress bar

4, Blank screen

 

Ive read about lots of problems, re drivers etc. But not got anywhere near that stage yet.
