mines used more or less everyday like a car should be, but I have pirelli Pzero nero's on the rear and goodyear eagle F1's up front, doesn't seem too bad in the wet when being carefull

I have Bridgestones S02's on my car and over the last 7.5 years and 4 Zeds I still recon they are the best tyre money can buy for the Zed. you can almost drive as quick in the rain as you can in the dry. Obviously if it's been dry for a week you take it steady until all the road grease has been washed off.

However the Zed with road tyres and snow do not mix. I know that the big powered T5 boys use Verdestien Snow Traction tyres and maybe that wouls help, but rear wheel drive, wide drive wheels and between 225 and 400bhp is an accident waiting to happen.

I can't believe that after 41 posts, nobody has mentioned Racelogic Traction Control Just because Clarkson is always slagging off factory fitted traction control systems, don't be fooled into thinking that it's not an excellent bit of kit

Steve

I think Steve is right if you have to use your zed in the snow then Racelogic is at least a car saver and could be a life saver. + you can vary it to siut the conditions or just switch it off. So it doesn't spoil the charactor of the car, but when you have to, it makes it drivable in not Zed conditions.

Personally I use my 4x4 and even that is a hand full in snow with all the steep hills and deep snow.

At the risk of stating the obvious - a Zed is NOT a car for all seasons. If you could operate the same in all weathers then the F1 boys wouldn't be changing tyres and set ups every 5 minutes.

It seems as if the right tool for the right job applies as much here as anywhere.

Now wheres that Charade 4wd jobbie on ebay?

Agreed. New Toyo's are not as good as nearly bald Bridgetones in the wet.
