It's about three years old.

 

It was working fine until yesterday.

 

The radio's still ok.

 

If I try and put a CD in it beeps and flashes up 'RESET' and won't take the CD.

 

Any ideas how to sort it?

which model is it?

It doesn't say on the stereo itself - I think it was a CDX5500 or something like that.

has is got a reset button on the back? You know the kind you push with a paper clip etc

is it the one with a black front

 

if so have you tried using a pin to press in the tiny black rubber button (size of a pin head)?

have you tried reseting it?

 

there will either be a reset button where you need to press a paper clip or somthing in or try disconnecting it.

Yup as said, on the front of it, take the face off and you will see a tiny hole. Put the end of an opened paperclip in there and it will reset the unit.

 

Also go get a CD lense cleaning disk and play it.

There's a tiny reset button on the front of the main unit when the face is off - pressed it - it's working again! :dance:
