Insurance, i know common question but i'm in a muddle.

Ideally i need to get my car insured today.

I'm a bit of a awkrud one to insure because.

The car is heavily modified and running big power, spent allot on it.

I'm only 23, it's a import.

Fully Comp.

I would like agreed value.

But i do have no points, a daily driver in my name and only need limited miles to say 5k and it is a 1990 so she is a oldey and 4 years no claims

I have tried Adrian Flux and waiting for Sky insurance to get back to me, who else would be worth trying?

lol nope they wouldn't insure me.

Adrian flux it is by the looks of it.

what installment rates have they offered you?

I'm with Carol Nash here. Say you've a Jap import & try speaking to a chap called Will. - I have an agreed value (although i've not started any power mods yet).

Bloke got me a good deal - Full breakdown cover in Uk and Europe. £100 excess. 15k miles a year....

Try your existing insurance company, but ask if you can speak to a underwriter about a bespoke insurance package of your special version of a Nissan 300zx.

I did this with my insurance company having gone down the same road as you. What you have to remember is the people you speak to are the foot troops who have very limited working guide lines and do not have the power to vary them. I spoke to my insurance company about 5 times trying to speak to an underwriter. They kept telling me there's no point we don't insure modifyed cars.

So I asked them if ****** ever do any one off policies for paintings boats etc and they said of course. I said right then let me speak to those people to insure my special car. They said "thats done by the underwriters". I replied thats why I've been asking to speak to them. 10 minutes with the underwriter and I had an agreed value policy and fully comp insurance.

Mind you I live in a low crime area. over a mile from the main road and 400 yards off a lane. + I was 44 and it still cost me £900 per year.

Just tried getting a quote from the people 300zx girl suggested - just for funsies, as i already have a traders policy.

It came back at £4,340.70

Should make it a new game - Highest Quote. lol. Infact no point, jeremy clarkson has already won, i remember him saying on top gear he once got quoted £21k for a cossie that was worth £19k. LOL

Sorry to thread crash, just very funny i thought, i mean £4,340.70, my car's not worth that. lol

Again apologies for the thread crash but i could'nt resist posting this, i just got a quote back from Endsleigh for -

wait for it -
